Welcome to Gramps Custom Rods

 Howdy! I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Thomas J Ayers, Ph.D. , avid angler of just about anything with fins and gills! Please allow me to give you a short history of “Gramps Custom Rods”
  I came to the realization I should build my own fishing rods after becoming frustrated looking for that "perfect" rod, one that felt like an extension of my arm. No "off the rack” rod fit the bill. So, I built a few of my own rods, Soon others were asking me to make a rod they could call their on you know “one of a kind” and I discovered it was a great feeling making custom rods for Christmas gifts, Birthday gifts, even Anniversary gifts! And “Gramps Custom Rods” was born,
My dream is that every angler will have that special fishing rod!
I enjoy building great fishing rods as much as I love fishing, therefore bringing unique services to the customer; I am able to differentiate myself from the competition and commercially built rods.
